It's hard to believe that Easter has come and gone, and that Mother's day is just around the corner.  Well, if the old adage is true, I must be having fun because time sure is flying by.  Speaking of flying, our Caring Christian Community has taken on wings that is taking it to new heights.  The local Food Pantry is getting lots of support from the seven local churches that have been meeting once a month to plan ministries of "reaching out" to our Jamestown community.  They are now meeting in rotation at various local churches, once a week, for intentional prayer and worship for these ministries.  One area of focus of the group is our Youth.  Why Youth?  Youth are the "Church" of today!  They are the hope of tomorrow for this nation.  They are oftentimes more sensitive to the moving of God's Holy Spirit than those of us with a little gray in our hair color.  I am excited to be a witness of the moving of the Holy Spirit, and look forward to the days ahead with great expectation that the gospel message of old will be shared in new ways and with new people.  From the Book of  Acts 2:17 "'In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams."  What is the Vision of the Youth?  We need to ask them!  Let's start today to pray for their safety and well being, and that they will draw ever closer to Jesus, and always turn to Him first in times of trial and tribulation.
